About Us

A small and welcoming establishment in the heart of the Dolomites

In Trentino Alto Adige/Südtirol, within a quaint Dolomites village named San Vigilio di Marebbe, at the base of Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, the Ploner family welcomes you to the Bed & Breakfast Ciasa Brüscia.

Amongst these mountains located in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park, recently awarded UNESCO World Heritage Site status, the Ploner family has been running a quaint and welcoming establishment for 40 years, accommodating our clientèle in an exclusive and familiar environment.

In 2014, all of our rooms were renovated in a purely Alpine style created in Pinus Cembra wood. This type of wood is renowned for its properties that are highly beneficial for the human body.

“What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity.”

The Rooms

The rooms of the Bed and Breakfast Ciasa Brüscia are exalted by their simple and traditional style, ensuring they are comfortable and welcoming.

Each room is exclusively decked out with wooden furniture, along with a spacious bathroom with shower. Most rooms have a balcony for exclusive use, furnished with chairs and coffee table.

All rooms are equipped with a LED TV with Italian and foreign channels, plus a safety deposit box.

The Pinus Cembra

This noble pine tree species has grown in our Alpine territories since the end of the Last Glacial Period. From that time on, man has begun to exploit its many positive characteristics.

In designing and decorating our new rooms, we sought to use the pine wood in such a way as to take full advantage of its beneficial properties for our guests.

Numerous studies show that the Pinus Cembra wood has a positive effect not only on circulation, but also on sleep and human well-being in general. Such scientific studies show that sleeping in a pine-rich environment increases the quality of sleep, especially since the heart-rate is reduced by an average of 3,500 beats per day, meaning you live better and take better care of your body.

Moreover, the typical fragrance of pine wood is very pleasing to humans but hated by many types of insects.

Bed & Breakfast Ciasa Brüscia is the ideal place for ski and mountain enthusiasts. Indeed,at Ploners’ the word “Skiing” is written with a capital S. Ciasa Brüscia reached Olympic levels thanks to our son Alexander (www.ploneralexander.com) who took part in the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002 and in Vancouver in 2010. This sporting spirit and the experience gained throughout the years ensures every guest feels somewhat like a champion. Today, Alexander is a much-loved ski instructor. Together with his brother Ivan, also a multi-award-winning ski instructor, they can help with any question or need for hitting the slopes.
